How much smaller will the file be?
It depends on the content. Scans and PDFs with photos often shrink by 50–90%. A text-only PDF is usually already small and the saving is modest.
Does the text get blurry?
No. We only compress the images inside the PDF; text and vector graphics are untouched and stay searchable and selectable.
What if the result is bigger than the original?
Then we give you back the original and tell you it's already optimized — you never get a worse file.
